New Subaru’s FT-86 Sports car Tuning

The future Subaru FT-86 sports car has been caught testing again, this time in Death Valley. And, thankfully, new spy shots always come with new details so every shot we can get is well worth investigation.

Turns out, the future Subaru sports car will be powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine, a variation of the engine used in the Impreza WRX STI, and not the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter flat four engine previously reported. The engine will still produce 260hp which is much more powerful than its Toyota sibling that will only deliver 200 HP. Both models, however, will be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox.

As for its design language, it is rumored that the Subaru sports coupe will take its inspiration from the hatchback, in particular at the front end, but with a more aggressive touch. Both cars will be individualized with their own bumpers, front grilles, and wheels, but they will, however, share similar body panels.

2011 Mercedes CL-Class Facelift Version

Mercedes CL-ClassThe 2011 facelift version of the Mercedes CL-Class will make its world debut this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Yes, we did say the CL-Class and not the S-Class Coupe as was rumored. The new CL-Class comes with an improved exterior and interior, but the biggest changes are found under the hood.

The exterior gets a new grille, bi-xenon headlights with LED technology, LED fog lamps, revised fenders and hood, and new exhaust pipes. On the interior the biggest change is the addition of a new wood trim. The new CL-Class will also be offered with all the latest technologies including: Active Blind Spot Assist, Attention Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Night View Assist Plus, and Active Body Control.

The model line-up starts with an entry-level CL550 4Matic powered by a 4.6 liter V8 direct-injected engine that delivers 429 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a seven speed automatic transmission and sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The top version, CL600 gets a twin-turbo 5.5 liter V12 engine with a total output of 510 HP and 612 lb-ft of torque. It sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Both vehicles are limited to 155 mph.

The AMG versions include the CL63 AMG that is powered by a new twin turbo, direct injection V8 engine with a total output of 536 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque and the CL65 AMG gets a V12 engine that delivers 621 HP and 738 lb-ft of torque.

A minor facelift as far as we can tell, but we guess it is still considered one. The biggest selling point would have to be the added technologies and not the slightly adjusted facial expression.

Ferrari F430 Classic Car Tuning

There have been many before it and I'm sure there will be many more to come, but the latest edition to the Ferrari legacy is the mid-engined 458 Italia. This fantastic hunk of metal featured in last night's episode of Top Gear and even made Jeremy Clarkson grin like a Cheshire cat.

The 458 replaces the F430, according to the Top gear website, with a new" 4.5 litre direct injection V8, which produces an astonishing 562bhp". To put this into perspective, that's 79bhp more than the current F430 and 52bhp more than the legendary Scuderia.

In true Clarkson style his review of the fabulous Ferrari started a little rocky, with an attack on the secondary controls, but surprisingly this was the only fault he could find. The styling, the engine, the handling and the raw exhaust sound were all praised by the pessimistic presenter while he was hurtling around the track at breakneck speed.

One of the best quotes of the night, used by Clarkson when describing the 458 was when he said the Ferrari was like "Stephen Fry with Kiera Knightley's face" – what a combination! He even shocked viewers by saying he preferred the 458 to the flawless F40.

In true Top Gear style the three stooges, Clarkson, May and Hammond, were given the challenge of getting from the Lotus headquarters in Norfolk to the derelict TVR factory in Blackpool – sound easy, well there was one slight snag, they would be driving in classic British sports cars.

Sport Cars Tuning Audi A4 Special Executive Vehicle

Unlike the A2 model which was originally designed as a three door hatchback vehicle which later all and became more of a luxury family car, the Audi A4 which is also manufactured by the same German automotive maker "Audi" is a luxury executive car which can also be classified as a compact vehicle. According to the enumeration you might think that this is the successor to the A2 but, it actually is a successor of the Audi 80.

This version became available as an "Advant" which is the name that Audi gave to station wagons and also to estate cars. The A4 was also available as a Cabriolet and sedan. The production of this vehicle started in 1994 and ever since its introduction to the market there have been for generations (or versions) of this model.

The B5 platform-based Audi A4 was sold between 1996 and 2001. The top Audi A4 engine in Europe was a 2.8l V6, one of nine engines shoppers could choose from in Europe. In North America the only Audi A4 engine available at launch was the 2.8l V6, which was also the sole engine available in its predecessor, the 80 model.

This Audi A4 engine is a 90 degree V6 with a cast iron block and alloy cylinder heads. In its original form it has twelve valves opened by single overhead cam (SOHC) heads. It produces 174 horsepower and 184lb ft. torque.

Note that while Audi often shares parts with its parent company Volkswagen, this Audi A4 engine is not related to VW's VR6, even though this engine was offered in similar sizes and power outputs. In more recent years both the 90 degree motor and the VR6 have been place in the Audi A4's engine bay. While Audi A4 engine is smoother and more powerful, it is heavier than the single head VW unit.

The Audi A4 engine uses a variable length intake manifold. This manifold has two intake tracks. At slow speeds, air is directed through a long intake track for better torque, while at high speeds air comes through a very short track for improved breathing, providing top end power. This gives similar performance to early two-stage variable intake valve systems without the complexity.

While the Audi 80 used the AAC version of the 2.8l, the Audi A4 engine got the revised AFC version. These changes mainly affect the head design, using a lighter camshaft with revised valve timing, a simpler, lighter valve spring assembly, and smaller diameter intake and exhaust valves. The oiling system was also upgraded, with a larger oil cooler, larger filter, and more effective oiling system. While it may be possible to put an AAC motor in an A4, the original Audi A4 engine is more reliable thanks to these upgrades.

A new head with five valve per cylinder was developed by Audi Sport for use in touring car racing and eventually made its way onto several of Audi's engines, starting with the new 1.8l turbo, and eventually the 2.8l. This Audi A4 engine choice included this new 30 valve layout in Europe starting in 1996, and would replace the 12 valve engine in the American market when the car was refreshed in 1998. Power went up to 190 hp 203 lb. ft. of torque. The head also has dual overhead cams, but everything outside of the heads is similar to the twelve valve engine.

The Audi A4 engine gained twin turbochargers in the S4, the A4's sports model. Different pistons were used changing displacement slightly: Officially it is a 2.7l engine, although it was sometimes quoted as being a 2.8l. This engine produces 261 horsepower and 295 ft. lbs. of torque. The 2000 and 2001 A4-based RS4 used a version of this engine modified by Cosworth Technology to produce 375 horsepower and 325 ft. lbs. of torque. This car was never sold in America, and the engine doesn't make a good Audi A4 engine swap candidate due to the width of the engine. The RS4 uses wider front body panels to accommodate the extra piping and larger turbo added by Cosworth.

Audi A4 engine choices expanded with the introduction of the B5 platform in 2001, but the 2.8l was replaced by a new 3.0l after being used for over a decade in Audi's lineup.

The Veyron from the house of Bugatti is expected to come in the 16 cylinder W16 engine mounted in separate two banks of eight cylinders. The engine features with the 4 turbochargers and displaces 8.0 liter with the stroke and the bore of 86 mm and the 86 mm respectively. The vehicle is designed by Ricardo.

The transmission in the vehicle consists of Direct Shift gearbox with dual clutches, manual gearbox controlled by the computer with the 7 gear ratios, magnesium paddles next to the steering wheel and has the shift time of 150 Ms. The vehicle uses the Haldex traction system and provides the 4-wheel drive. The new Veyron uses the flat tires from the Michelin, which are specially designed for the Veyron to provide the maximum speed. The curb weight of the vehicle will be 2034 kilo grams.

The wheel base of the Veyron is about 2710 mm, while the length, width and the height of the model are 4462 mm, 1998 mm and 1204 mm respectively. The Bugatti Veyron has 10 radiators in total - 1 hydraulic oil radiator for the spoiler, 3 radiators for the engine cooling system, 1 engine oil radiator, 1 heat exchanger for the air-to-liquid intercoolers, 1 differential oil radiator, 2 for the air conditioning system and 1 transmission oil radiator.

The engine in the vehicle produces 746 kilo watts of power and a massive 920 lb ft of torque. The maximum speed of the vehicle is about 400 kilo meters per hour, and the most fascinating part of the story is that the Bugatti Veyron is capable of reaching the speed of 200 kilo meters per hour in just 7.3 seconds.
